The need for a better prosthesis immediately after surgery has been a project that started s few years back and is still getting improved daily. When speaking about the full arch cases and using immediate load concept patients have only few options
On surgery day they receive a fixed provisional that can be made by converting a prefabricated removal prosthesis into a fixed screw retained one. This can be made by using traditional acrylic teeth or milled PMMA ones that are a little stronger but not as natural looking and less attractive.
Leave toothless on day of surgery and come back next day to deliver PMMA screw retained prosthesis with a reinforcement of a titanium bar. The titanium bar doesn't make the teeth stronger. The only benefit from it is that when the prosthesis breaks the pieces will stay together. Still teeth can chip or break.
Dr Almasri's new technique. Named Zir4™ in which we eliminate any issues with teeth breaking chipping or cracking. Zir4™ is a process that delivers the final zirconia prosthesis to the patient after 4 working days. And the best part is that the patient will never leave toothless. Unlike other procedures where patient has to leave toothless and come back the next day. Here’s the breakdown of the process Day 1. Work up and patient preparation. Day 2. Surgery and deliver a temporary prosthesis to go home or hotel with Day 3. Lab needs a day to fabricate the zirconia teeth Day 4. Delivery of Zir4
